Date: 03/07/2025 Time: 3:20 PM Jurisdiction – Hopewell Borough
Type of Incident: Warrant Arrest
Accused Name: Erick Salazar-Serrano
Accused Address: Pleasant Grove Rd Jackson, NJ 08527 Investigating / Arresting Officer: James Stanton
Charges: Contempt of Court
Details: On March 7, 2025 Officer Stanton conducted a motor vehicle stop on North Greenwood Avenue in Hopewell Borough. The vehicle, a silver Chevy pickup truck, was occupied by a driver identified as Erick Salazar-Serrano. The stop was made for a speeding violation. Upon gathering the driver’s documents, he was found to have an active warrant out of Ocean Township, NJ for $2,500. Salazar-Serrano was asked to step from the vehicle and was arrested on scene. He was transported to HTPD for processing and later transferred to Ocean Township Police Officers in default. Salazar-Serrano was also issued a summons for speeding and driving without a license. The matter will be heard in Municipal Court.

Type of Incident: Illegal Dumping
Investigating: Arthur Juba
Details: On March 7, 2025 Officer Juba responded to Cleveland Road for a reported illegal dumping incident. Upon arrival, Officer Juba observed a large mattress and box spring on the eastbound shoulder of the roadway. There were no identifiable marks or evidence at the scene. Hopewell Township DPW was contacted for removal. Nothing further at this time.

Type of Incident: Burglary / Criminal Mischief
Investigating Officer: Colin Brigham
Details: On March 7, 2025 Officer Brigham responded to the Pennington Golf Center for an active alarm. Officers’ investigation on scene revealed the business appeared to have been broken into, but no items appeared to have been stolen. Officers cleared the scene and photographed the property. The incident is under investigation.

Type of Incident: Illegal Dumping
Investigating Officer: Ryan Finnegan
Details: On March 9, 2025 at 4:52 PM Officer Finnegan responded to a property on Bayberry Road for a reported illegal dumping. The property is a large farm field. The victim reported that a neighbor advised them that someone dumped various items in the field. When the victim went out to the area, they found a couch, television, stroller, wood, bicycle, mops, children’s toys, and political signs. The incident is under investigation.

Accused Address: Broad St Trenton, NJ 08610
Investigating Officer: James Stanton
Details: On March 9, 2025 Officer Stanton conducted a vehicle check at the Twin Pines athletic fields. Stanton made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Edward Deleon Gonzalez. Gonzalez was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Princeton Township. Gonzalez was arrested on scene and transported to HTPD for processing. He was later released on his own recognizance with a new court date. The matter will be heard in Municipal Court.
