Investigating Officer: Jack Lane 
Charges: Simple Assault, Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct 

Details: On 8/7/2025 Officer Jack Lane and other HTPD officers responded to West Broad Street in Hopewell Borough for a report of an assault and criminal mischief. The call came from a person participating in an organized peaceful protest in this location. A description of the suspect who fled the scene on foot, was provided to dispatch and responding officers. Contact was made with the suspect fitting the description on Columbia Avenue. The subject was identified as Percival Keith IV. Mr Keith IV was questioned regarding the complaint made by the caller and he admitted to breaking a flag due to frustration with the protest. Mr Keith IV was arrested at that time and transported to HTPD for processing. Further investigation revealed Mr Keith IV also struck the reporting party during the altercation. Mr Keith IV was charged with Simple Assault, Criminal Mischief, and Disorderly Conduct. The matter will be heard in Municipal Court.

Investigating Officer: Christopher Hayes 

Details: On August 9, 2025 Officer Hayes responded to Model Avenue for a report of a subject sleeping in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. The vehicle, a 2004 Toyota Camry, was located and the driver was identified as Delfino Perez of Englishtown. The subject was breathing but unresponsive to attempts at contact. It should be noted that the vehicle was in drive, and the subject’s foot was actively on the brake. Ultimately, Delfino was taken into custody and arrested for DUI. The matter will be heard in Municipal Court.

Type of Incident: MV Burglary 
Investigating Officer: Robert Voorhees 

Details: On July 29, 2025 Officer Voorhees responded to a Morgan Avenue address for a reported motor vehicle burglary. The victim reported that an unknown subject entered their vehicle during the overnight hours between July 28th and July 29th. The victim ‘s vehicle, a 2025 Nissan Sentra, contained a Louis Vuitton purse which stored identification and other items. All of which were stolen from the vehicle. The incident is under investigation at this time. 

On the same date, during the same time frame, two other vehicles were entered on Patterson Avenue. The vehicles entered were a White Kia Telluride and a White Dodge Ram. Only a pair of sunglasses were taken from these vehicles. This incident is also under active investigation.

Details: On July 31, 2025 Officer Juba responded to the Hopewell Valley Car Wash on Route 31 for a reported shoplifting. Upon arrival, the suspects had already fled the scene. The owner reported that a male and female party were inside the car wash sifting through the records section. The two subject then stole multiple records and left the car wash without payment. Further information was provided to the officer on the subjects involved. The total loss was reported as $250. The investigation is ongoing.

Details: On August 5, 2025 Officer McCallum responded to a Pennington Titusville Road address for a reported theft of a mailbox. The theft occurred overnight between 8/4 and 8/5. Officer McCallum canvassed the area and located the mailbox in a nearby creek. The mailbox was returned, but was damaged. The incident is under investigation.

Accused Name: Lindsey Hadley 
Accused Address: Parkside Ave Trenton, NJ 08638 
Investigating Officer: James Stanton 

Details: On August 6, 2025 Officer Stanton conducted a motor vehicle stop on North Route 31 near Mine Road on a 2011 Chevy sedan for a traffic violation. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Lindsey Hadley. Upon further investigation, Hadley was found to have an active NCIC warrant for her arrest. Hadley was asked to step from the vehicle and was placed under arrest for the warrant. Hadley was transported to HTPD for processing and later transported and turned over to Mercer County Correctional Facility in default. The matter will be heard in Superior Court.

Accused Name: Nathaniel Slingland 
Accused Address: Shale Drive West Milford, NJ 07480 
Investigating Officer: Brandon Kuzma 

Details: On August 8, 2025 Officer Kuzma responded to a disturbance at Harbourton Rocktown near Lynbrook Drive. Contact was made with a subject identified as Nathaniel Slingland. During the investigation, Slingland was found to have an active NCIC warrant for his arrest. At that time, Slingland was arrested on scene and transported to HTPD for processing. He was later transported and turned over to Mercer County Correctional Center in default. The matter will be heard in Superior Court,
