Date: 01/02/2026 Time: 10:46 PM Jurisdiction – Hopewell Township
Type of Incident: Theft
Investigating Officer: Michael Enriquez
Details: On 01/02/2026 Officer Enriquez responded to HTPD for a walk-in report of theft. Victim reported that her cell phone was stolen at an unknown location approximately 3-5 months ago. Victim reported an approximate value of the stolen phone was $900.00. The last location of the phone was in Pennsylvania. The incident was relayed to the Palmerton Police Department.

Details: On 01/05/2026 Officer Alvaro responded to a residence in Hopewell Borough for a report of theft. Victim reported that approximately $15,000.00 in U.S. currency denominations went missing from his residence sometime in the last three or four months. Victim advised that there are no cameras inside the residence. The incident remains under investigation.

Details: On 12/23/2025 Officer Crincoli was dispatched to the Stop & Shop for a report on shoplifting. Loss prevention reported an individual stole cases of Red Bull and Monster energy drinks during two separate incidents entering through produce entrance and bypassing all points of sale. The total value of the stolen merchandise was $245.68. The incident remains under investigation.

Type of Incident: Impersonation/ Theft of Identity

Details: On 01/08/2026 Officer Crincoli responded to a residence in Pennington for a report of fraudulent online charges. Victim reported that an unknown individual gained unauthorized access toa her PayPal account and completed a purchase in the amount of $41.54. The incident remains under investigation.

Type of Incident: Theft
Investigating Officer: Michael Crincoli
Details: On 01/08/2026 Officer Crincoli responded to Walgreens for a report of a theft. The store manager the theft of approximately 90 empty plastic tote boxes from the rear loading dock area. The totes are used for loading and unloading merchandise. No store merchandise was stolen, the value is unknown, and there are no exterior cameras. The incident remains under investigation.

Details: On 01/09/2025 Officer Alvaro responded to a residence in Hopewell for a report of theft of a package. Victim reported a package stolen from her front porch. Surveillance footage showed two unidentified subjects entering the property and leaving with the package. An identified sedan was also captured on the video. The total value of the stolen item was $27.95. The incident remains under investigation.

Type of Incident: Warrant Arrest
Investigating Officer: Neil Hunt
Details: On 01/09/2026 Officer Hunt was conducting routine patrol when he observed a vehicle going through the red traffic signal. Officer Hunt initiated a motor vehicle stop. During the interaction it was revealed that the driver had an active ATS warrant from Bass River. Driver was placed under arrest and transported to HTPD for processing. He was later released from custody with a new court date.
