Type of Incident: Shoplifting

Details: On January 8, 2025 at 6:29PM Officer McCallum responded to the Stop & Shop on Denow Road for a reported Shoplifting. Loss prevention reported that the incident took place on January 5, 2025 at 6:04PM. A female subject entered the store and loaded a shopping cart with various items throughout the store and left without payment. The total estimated cost of products was reported as $472.73. The incident is under investigation.

Type of Incident: Warrant Arrest
Accused Name: Michael Daly
Accused Address: Johnson St. Pittstown, PA 18640
Investigating / Arresting Officer: Colin Brigham
Details: On January 10, 2025 Officer Brigham was performing a traffic enforcement detail on Bear Tavern Road when he observed a 2014 Jeep speeding southbound on the roadway. Officer Brigham conducted a motor vehicle stop nearby and approached the driver, identified as Michael Daly. Upon gathering pedigree information, Daly was found to have an active NCIC Warrant for his arrest out of Pennsylvania. Daly was arrested on scene and transported to HTPD for processing. Daly was alter released on his own recognizance with a pending court date in PA.

Type of Incident: Theft / Fraud
Investigating: Ryan Finnegan
Details: On January 11, 2025 Officer Finnegan met with the victim of fraud in the HTPD lobby. The victim advised that she was reviewing her bank account statements for the year and found a fraudulent transaction that took place on 8/20/2024. A fraudulent transaction withdrew $4,896.81 against her account. The information was provided to both law enforcement and the victim’s bank as the transaction is being disputed. The investigation is ongoing.

Type of Incident: Burglary
Investigating Officer: Brandon Kuzma
Details: On January 11, 2025 Officer Kuzma responded to a Federal City Road address for a reported burglary into a vehicle. The victim reported that the she parked her vehicle at 1330 hours at the dog park. Approximately 20 minutes later, she was alerted by another party that her vehicle’s window was smashed. When the victim returned to her vehicle, she found that her purse was missing. The total value of items stolen was reported as approximately $800, which included the purse, cash, and car key – among other items. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Type of Incident: Shoplifting

Details: On January 12, 2025 Officer Kuzma responded to the Stop&Shop on Denow Rd for a reported shoplifting which occurred on January 10, 2025 at 5:30PM. The female subject is seen entering the store and taking various items totaling $1,276.74 in goods and leaving without payment. The investigation is ongoing. On the same date, another Shoplifting was reported at the same location to Sgt Panzano. This incident involved $631 in good stolen by a male subject who entered the store at 1846 hours on January 12, 2025. Both incidents are under investigation.

Arrestee Address: Norman Road Newark, NJ 07106
Investigating Officer: James Stanton
Details: On January 14, 2025 Officer Stanton responded to Hopewell Township Municipal Court for a subject identified with an active warrant. Stanton made contact with the subject, identified as Raheem Demas, and escorted him to the processing room. Additionally, a warrant was found out of Maplewood Township Municipal Court. After processing, he was turned over to the custody of Maplewood Police Department. The matter will be heard in Municipal Court.

Details: On January 15, 2025 Officer Juba responded to a Pennington Hopewell address for a reported burglary of a detached barn. The locks were reportedly cut and $717 of items were stolen from inside – generally tools and equipment. The incident occurred between 1/10 and 1/15. The investigation is ongoing.

Details: On January 15, 2025 Officer Kuzma responded to ShopRite of Pennington for a reported shoplifting. Loss prevention reported that a female subject was seen entering the store and taking $160 in various items without payment. The incident took place on 1/14/2025 at 1013 AM. The investigation is ongoing

Type of Incident: DUI
Accused Name: Francis Ogrady
Accused Address: Kyle Way Ewing, NJ 08628
Investigating / Arresting Officer: Eric Lei
Charges: DUI
Details: On January 16, 2025 Officer Lei responded to Reed Rd for a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Lei made contact with the driver identified as Francis Ogrady. Ogrady showed physical signs of intoxication on scene and was instructed to perform field sobriety testing. Ogrady was subsequently arrested and transported to HTPD for processing. He was later released from custody after being served with charges for DUI and Reckless Driving. The matter will be heard in Municipal Court.
