Commercial Building Fire – Reed Road

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP – At approximately 11:03 am this morning, Hopewell Township Police received a 9-1-1 call from #1613 Reed Road, business complex, reporting smoke was billowing out from an adjacent property on the premise. Upon arrival, responding officers observed smoke coming from the eaves of the commercial building and began evacuating the complex and area.

Fire personnel, under the command of Hopewell Valley Emergency Services Chief Jonathan Moore, arrived on location and began work on the structure fire. 

Responding agencies assisting Hopewell Valley Emergency Services were the Hopewell Fire Department, Pennington Fire Department, Union Fire Company, Lawrence Township Fire Department, West Trenton Fire Department, Ewing Fire Department, Hopewell EMU, Capital Health EMS, and Princeton First Aid.  

The commercial building was occupied at the time of the fire and suffered significant damage. One employee of the building was treated by Hopewell Valley Emergency Services for smoke inhalation and was later transported to a local hospital.

The source of the fire is under investigation by Det. Christopher Collins and the Hopewell Valley Emergency Services.
