Date 6/19/2024 Time: 3:47 PM Jurisdiction- Hopewell Borough
Type of Incident: Theft
Investigating Officer: Blake DeMeter

Details: On June 19, 2024 Officer DeMeter met with the victim of theft in the HTPD lobby. The victim reported that his license plate was stolen off of his vehicle. The victim explained that the last time he drove the vehicle was June 16, 2024 and he noticed the plate missing on June 17, 2024. DMV was notified of the theft. No further information at this time.

Details: On June 10, 2024 Officer DeMeter responded to the Pennington Smoke and Cigar on Tree Farm Rd for an activated panic alarm. Upon arrival, Officer DeMeter met with the store employee who reported that a male subject entered the store and stole 3 glass bongs and left the store without payment. The total value of the items stolen was reported as $179.97. Surveillance video of the incident was provided to the officer. The investigation is ongoing.

Details: On June 11, 2024 Sgt Panzano responded to a Village Square address for a reported theft. The victim reported that a license plate was stolen from inside the vehicle. The victim explained that the front license plate was stored on the dashboard, as the victim was missing the screws to have it attached to the front bumper. The license plate was last seen on June 3, 2024. There was no evidence of forced entry on the vehicle. Nothing further to report.

Details: On June 12, 2024 Officer Stanton responded to a Bayberry Road address for a reported theft of mail and packages. The victim reported that packages were scheduled for delivery on June 12, 2024. The victim received confirmation that the packages were delivered “at or in the mailbox”, however they were never received. The total value of the packages were reported as $165.00. The investigation is ongoing.

Details: On June 13, 2024 Officer Stanton responded to the AT&T store located on Denow Road for a reported theft. Upon arrival, the store employee reported that two male parties entered the store. While the employee was assisting the first male, the second male entered the back room of the store and stole two iphones. The employee reported that it appeared the two males were working together. The total value of the phones are listed as $2,398.00.

Details: On June 17, 2024 Officer Pauciullo responded to the Stop&Shop on Denow Road for a reported shoplifting. Loss prevention reported that an unidentified female subject entered the store and stole 10 bottles of baby formula and left the store without payment. The female stole 10 bottles of Neuropro infant formula in a cloth bag and left the store. The surveillance footage was forwarded to the officer. The investigation is ongoing.

Details: On June 16, 2024 Officer Enriquez responded addresses on Timkak Lane, Old Washington Crossing Pennington Road, Federal City Road, Michael Way, Meadow
Lane, and Independence Way for reports of stolen mail. The mail was recovered by Princeton Township Police and turned over to HTPD. The mail was found to have been tampered with as well. The investigation was turned over to Detective Collins of HTPD for further investigation. The investigation is ongoing.

Details: On June 19, 2024 Officer Juba responded to a Model Avenue address for a reported theft. The victims reported that their cell phones and Bluetooth speaker were stolen at the Quarry Swim Club on Crusher Road. The victims stated they last saw the phones and speaker at approximately 4:30 PM on this date when they went swimming until 5:30PM when they found the items to be missing. The total value of the missing items is listed as $2,500.00. The investigation is ongoing.

Investigating Officer: Paul Alvaro
Charges: Contempt of Court

Details: On June 22, 2024 Officer Alvaro conducted a motor vehicle stop on Pennington Road near Denow Road on a gray Mazda CX5 for a motor vehicle violation. Officer Alvaro made contact with the driver, later identified as Alexander Magby. Magby was
found to have an active NCIC Warrant issued by Mercer County Sheriffs Department. Magby was arrested on scene and transported to HTPD for processing. Upon completion of processing, Magby was transported and turned over to Mercer County Correctional Center. The matter will be heard in Superior Court.

Type of Incident: Lewdness
Investigating Officer: Michael Enriquez

Details: On June 23, 2024 at approximately 10:48 AM Officer Enriquez responded to a New Road address. Enriquez made contact with the victim who reported that she went out to her mailbox shortly before and a Hispanic male subject drove up in a white mini-van. The male made a comment about the weather and proceeded to expose himself to the victim before driving off. The victim then contacted police. The matter has been turned over to the HTPD Detective Bureau for further investigation. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Type of Incident: Shoplifting
Investigating Officer: Arthur Juba

Details: On June 23, 2024 Officer Juba responded to the Stop and Shop on Denow Road for a reported shoplifting that occurred the previous day. Loss prevention reported that two male subjects stole $580.00 worth of baby formula from the store and left without payment. The subjects were followed by store staff and photographed leaving towards the direction of the Starbucks. Surveillance and photos were forwarded to HTPD for further investigation.
