Date: 7/23/2024 Time: 10:22 PM Jurisdiction- Hopewell Township
Type of Incident: Fraud
Investigating Officer: Collin Brigham

Details: On July 23, 2024 Officer Brigham responded to a Park Lake address for a reported fraud. The victim reported that their address is being used by a “business”. The victim further explained that she has been receiving mail at her residence for a company identified as “Union Home Loan Titusville by Andrew”. There were multiple pieces of mail sent to the residence from different states around the US. The victim was advised to continue to monitor their credit and banking accounts, and to report any suspicious activity on either. In addition, the investigation into the incidents is active by Officer Brigham. There was no monetary loss reported by the victim.

Type of Incident: Fraud
Investigating Officer: Collin Brigham

Details: On July 26, 2024 Officer Brigham met with the victim of fraud and theft in the HTPD lobby. The victim reported that $3,000 was withdrawn from her checking account and another $7,000 was withdrawn from the savings account. The withdraws occurred on July 17, 2024. The banking statements were provided to Officer Brigham for followup investigation, which show when and where the withdrawals took place. The investigation is active at this time.

Details: On July 26, 2024 Officer Kuzma met with the victim of fraud on the HTPD lobby. The victim reported that an unidentified party attempted to access unemployment benefits in the victim’s name. The victim was notified of the incident by New Jersey Department of Labor. The victim advised that the claim was invalid. There has been no financial loss at this time.

Date: 7/27/2024 Time: 8:31 PM Jurisdiction – Hopewell Township
Type of Incident: Interference with Transportation
Accused Name: Douglas Moore
Accused Address: Maddock Road
Investigating Officer: Robert Voorhees
Charges: Interference with Transportation

Details: On July 27, 2024 Officer Voorhees responded to a Maddock Road address for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, Officer Voorhees made contact with the accused, Douglas Moore. Moore was accused of throwing sticks into the road and at a vehicle traveling on the roadway. The driver of the vehicle stated that Moore threw sticks at and into his vehicle. Moore stated that the vehicle was speeding and headed towards a party on the same street. After investigation, Officer Voorhees charged Moore with Interference of Transportation. The charge was placed on a summons and the matter will be heard in Superior Court.

Charges: Shoplifting

Details: On August 1, 2024 Officer Klesney responded to the Stop & Shop on Denow Rd for a reported shoplifting. The suspects already left the scene at the time of the call. Klesney made contact with loss prevention who advised a male and female party entered the store and stole 8 containers of baby formula. The subjects fled in their vehicle. Images were provided to police on scene and the subjects were ultimately identified as Gregory Brown and Shimera Lee. Both were charged shoplifting and the matter will be heard in Superior Court.

Investigating Officer: Vincent Amabile

Details: On August 2, 2024 Officer Amabile responded to a Pleasant Valley address for a reported theft. The theft occurred between 8/1 and 8/2. The items that were reported stolen were reportedly taken from the front yard. The items were listed as outdoor and indoor rugs, two bicycles, a handbag. The total amount reported in loss was $2,353. The investigation is ongoing.

Details: On August 2, 2024 Officer Alvaro responded to an Orchard Avenue address for a reported theft. The victim reported that their son’s bicycle was stolen from their shed between 7/20/2024 and 8/2/2024. The bike was valued at $599. The investigation is ongoing.

Accused Name: Matthew Meisner
Accused Address: Conrad Street Trenton, NJ 08611
Investigating Officer: Blake DeMeter
Charges: Contempt of Court

Details: On August 5, 2024 Officer DeMeter conducted a motor vehicle stop on white Mitsubishi sedan on Pennington Road near the Pennington Circle. The driver, identified as Matthew Meisner was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of Trenton. Meisner was arrested on scene and transported to HTPD for processing. Meisner was processed and later released with a new court date. The matter will be heard in Superior Court.
