Details: On August 13, 2024 Officer Peterson met with the victim of theft in the HTPD lobby. The victim stated that their mail was stolen from their mailbox. The mail stolen specifically was an envelope containing a check made out to an individual party. The check was determined stolen on 8/27, and was placed in the mail on 8/22. The victim’s bank notified the victim of the incident stating that an unknown party made an attempt to cash a check under his account. Further information was provided by the bank and the investigation is active.

Details: On August 29, 2024 Officer DeMeter met with the victim of theft. The victim reported that their license plate was stolen from the front of their vehicle. The plate was found missing on 8/29 and determined to have last been seen on 8/24. It is unknown when or where the plate was stolen, however the investigation is ongoing.

Charges: DUI / Possession of CDS / Reckless Driving

Details: On August 29, 2024 at approximately 8:26 PM Officer Hoffman responded to the area of Trenton Harbourton Road near Woosamonsa Rd for a reported driver traveling in the wrong lane. Upon arrival, Officer Hoffman made observation of the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop in the same location. The driver, identified as Tricia Trottier, was found to be exhibiting signs of intoxication. Roadside sobriety tests were conducted and she was placed under arrest for DUI after completion. Trottier was found in possession of suspected controlled dangerous substances (heroin). Trottier was transported to HTPD for processing and was later released from police custody. Trottier was charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, among other motor vehicle violations. The matter will be heard in Municipal Court.

Details: On August 30, 2024 Officer Peterson was conducting a traffic enforcement detail on Bear Tavern Road. A Grey sedan drove by his location showing an expired inspection sticker. Peterson conducted a motor vehicle stop for the traffic offense on Washington Crossing Pennington Road. The driver, identified as Daniel Soler, was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of multiple jurisdictions. Soler was placed under arrest on scene and transported to HTPD for processing. He was later turned over to Franklin Township PD in default of bail. The matter will be heard in Municipal Court.

Details: On September 2, 2024 Officer Brigham responded to a Van Dyke Road address for a reported burglary and theft from a trailer on the property. The victim stated that their dirt bike was stolen from their trailer in front of the residence. The dirt bike was stolen on August 31 at 4:36 AM, as it was seen on home surveillance. The Honda dirt bike was valued at $2,500. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Date: 9/6/2024 Time: 12:56 PM Jurisdiction – Hopewell Township

Type of Incident: Shoplifting
Investigating Officer: Mark Panzano

Details: On September 6, 2024 Sgt Panzano responded to the Stop&Shop for a reported shoplifting which had occurred on 9/2/2024. Loss prevention provided video of the two suspects taking over $700.00 worth of various items from the store. One of the suspects involved was identified by loss prevention due to previous contacts. Both parties are seen leaving the store without payment. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Details: On September 6, 2024 Officer Brigham met with the victim of fraud in the HTPD lobby. The victim reported that their check was stolen from the mail. The victim was alerted by her bank of an attempted transaction using her check for the amount of $25,580.00. The transaction was stopped before any loss of funds was incurred. Further information regarding the transaction was provided to Officer Brigham and the investigation is active.

Type of Incident: Fraud / Theft
Investigating Officer: Brandon Kuzma

Details: On September 6, 2024 Officer Kuzma met with the victim of fraud in the HTPD lobby. The victim reported that they found multiple fraudulent transactions on their credit and debit card. The transactions occurred in Dallas, Texas on September 6th. The total amount charged was reported as $3,910.62. The charges were made at a car rental service in Dallas. The investigation is ongoing.
